O Globo - Brazil's: Lampada solar para 1,6 bilhao de pessoas vivendo sem electricidade

By Carlos Alberto Teixeira

cnet news: Nokero solar bulb stands up to Canadian winter
By Tim Hornyak

...The mercury reads 12 degrees outside, but it feels like minus 2 with the windchill. That's Fahrenheit - the numbers are depressingly lower in Celsius here in Canada. Still, when I hand Nokero's new N200 bulb on a tree, it's solar cell recharges without a hitch.

National Herald: A Solar Light Bulb Went off in Katsaros' Head
By Angelike Contis

Maybe it was the visit to a solar farm or to the Thomas Edison and Henry Ford Winter Estates in Florida. Stephen Katsaros isn’t sure exactly what triggered his idea.

But in January, he woke up and sketched out the plan for the
world’s first solar light bulb.

Things have been moving rapidly since – with interest for the bulb in 50 countries and a Chinese factory with a 600,000
per month production capacity. The Denver-based Katsaros reflects: “I don’t think it was divine intervention or anything,
but randomly, I started thinking about a solar light bulb.”

Denver Post Cover Story: Power of light
By Jason Blevins/Denver Post

When he was 7, Stephen Katsaros took apart the box fan in his bedroom and reassembled it using a bigger, stronger motor.

"It sounded like a B-52, but I was cool," says the Denver inventor. "I was always breaking stuff open and never really fixing it."

Three decades later, the perpetual tinkerer snaps apart his latest invention: the world's first solar light bulb.

In his spartan Capitol Hill office, Katsaros explains how Nokero, the affordable, durable, sun-fueled light, can help the 1.6 billion people worldwide without electricity and wean them from burning dangerous kerosene lamps..
