The bulb: can it bear the burly Mongolian winters?

The Nokero light bulb in snow

The Nokero light bulb prototypes endured harsh-weather testing this past winter in Colorado.

The Nokero N100 is tough, it’s durable, it’s compact and shatter-resistant – but can it withstand the legendary winters of the Mongolian Steppe?

That’s the question posed by an intrepid Nokero customer who recently wanted to know if our bulb could handle tough weather.

The picture on the right says it all. Hanging there in all its green glory, the Nokero prototypes withstood blistering winds and heavy snow in our high-tech testing grounds in Denver. (OK, it’s really just Steve’s backyard, but hey, where else can you find harsher conditions than Colorado in wintertime?)

Mongolia may be one answer. To find out, we’ve invited our recent Mongolian cyber-intolocutor (where else can you write the phrase “Mongolian cyber-intolocutor” besides the Nokero blog?) to take our bulbs to Mongolia, where presumably winter will once again take hold of the steppe and the bulb will be tested by Genghis Khan’s descendants, the legendary horsemen of Mongolia.

Our bulbs are currently being tested in … let’s say … more “formal” settings than Steve’s backyard and Asian grasslands, but we take the view that the great outdoors are the ultimate testing ground. After all, that’s where Nokero will be expected to hang tough in the saddle throughout all the wild rides Mother Nature provides.
